The Junior Dance Club of Upper Arlington invites all 7th and 8th grade students of Hastings and Jones to attend dance club this year. It will be held in the Hastings Commons Wednesdays January 7,14,21,28, February 4 & 11. Each student had a written invitation sent to their address with detailed information on December 1st. Registration is open and we are only accepting online payments this year. The Sign Up Genius will allow you to sign up your student, pay and volunteer for a chaperone spot if you wish. Please only sign up once, first come, first serve. This year’s fee is $30 for 6 lessons. **NO REFUNDS AFTER FIRST CLASS**
ENFORCED DRESS CODE:
For Boys: Dress shirt and tie. Shirt tucked into belted pants or cords. Loafers or dress shoes.
NOT PERMITTED: athletic shoes, heavy boots, Crocs or jeans.
For Girls: Dress or skirt with a blouse (skirts fingertip length or longer, shoulders covered). Tunics (fingertip length) over leggings also acceptable.
NOT PERMITTED: bare shoulders (use a shrug if necessary), athletic shoes, UGG boots, flip-flops or Crocs. Also, no pants of any kind, capris or jean skirts.
Parents will be contacted if the guidelines are not followed. Any unacceptable behavior will result in removal from the dance club for the remainder of the season.
Things to Know…
- There will be no refunds after the first session.
- Scholarships are available.
- We cannot assume liability for any personal property. Please leave cell phones and other valuables at home. Any found items will be placed in Hastings’ Lost & Found.
- The sessions will be canceled only if UA schools are closed such as for a snow day – or by special announcement made at the end of the school day. Every effort will be made to make up canceled sessions, but there is no guarantee.
- Parents must observe dismissal times so the next session can begin promptly. Students not picked up in time will have to wait outside.
Class Times:
- 7th Grade classes are 7:30pm-8:20pm
- 8th Grade classes are 8:30pm-9:20pm
