AUTHOR VISIT – Yona Zeldis McDonough/Who Was Harriet Tubman?

On Tuesday, February 21, accomplished children’s author Yona Zeldis McDonough will be visiting Wickliffe! Mrs. McDonough is a Brooklyn author of both fiction and nonfiction books for children and adults. Our students know Mrs. McDonough’s nonfiction and biography work best from the popular Who Was?/What Was? series. She will be sharing her thoughts on the historical and biography writing process and her experiences researching and writing in different genres.

We have copies of the following books for sale for $5 each.
Who Was Harriet Tubman?
Who Was Rosa Parks?
Who Was Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart?
Who Was Louis Armstrong?
What Was the Underground Railroad

We also are selling “Little Author in the Big Woods: A Biography of Laura Ingalls Wilder” for $8.

We have 15 copies available of each book, so please send in money with your child if interested and have them come to the library and let Mr. Stevenson or Mrs. Young know which book they would like. Mrs. McDonough will autograph the book during her visit.
