The winners of the PTO-sponsored scholarships, for students accepted into a post-high school program, were announced at the Senior Honors Assembly.
Jack Stummer was awarded the Kip Greenhill Scholarship, in honor of the former UAHS principal. Kip Greenhill was known for his tremendous support of and involvement in the high school. His role was not only that of a leader but as a fan as well – attending almost all productions, sporting events and activities. This scholarship honors a student with the same qualities – demonstrated qualities of empathy and kindness, strong supporter of everyone and everything at the high school, and demonstrated leadership in spirit and service activities.
Caroline Sarno was awarded the Pat Stewart Scholarship for her demonstrated compassion and understanding toward her fellow students, displaying good citizenship at the high school, and positive contributions to the high school environment.
Both awards are for $1000. Congratulations to our 2015 winners!
