Elementary One-to-One Technology

From the Upper Arlington School District:

Dear elementary families,

We would like to update you on the district’s plans for expanding our one-to-one technology program to the elementary level.

The Upper Arlington Board of Education recently approved a plan for every elementary student to have a device beginning with the 2016-2017 school year.

Students in kindergarten through second grade will receive iPads. Third-graders will receive iPads with keyboards. Students in grades four and five will receive MacBook Air laptops, just as secondary students did in December 2015.

You are invited to learn more about the district’s initiative to personalize learning by attending one of the following informational meetings:

  • Monday, May 2 at 7 p.m. at Jones Middle School
  • Wednesday, May 11 at 8:30 a.m. at the City Municipal Building
  • Wednesday, May 11 at 7 p.m. at Hastings Middle School

During these meetings, the district will also share the dates and times for device distribution in the fall.

You can learn more about the one-to-one technology program at www.uaschools.org/personalizedlearning. If you have any questions, please contact your building principal or one of us.

Sincerely,

Keith Pomeroy Chief Technology Officer [email protected]
