Dear JMS Community!
Happy Spring! Even though we have had less than spring like weather lately, spring is still in the air and around the corner! We have roughly 6 weeks left of school and we have a lot to look forward to…..spring sport events and banquets, choir concerts, orchestra concerts, honors assemblies, 8th grade DC Trip, 7th grade camp and 8th grade graduation.
PTO has been busy and I appreciate the opportunity to share our happenings with all of you…
–New LC furniture was purchased! PTO is proud of our $20,000 donation to help cover the cost of phase I. The students, staff and PTO are really excited to see it all installed.
–Artists in School Program, PTO activity, was held on Friday, March 18th for the entire student body. No Promises – an a cappella group from the Dayton/Cincinnati area performed. They did an amazing job and the kids enjoyed it!
–PTO Hospitality Committee brought donuts and coffee in on Friday, April 1st for JMS staff.
–PTO Staff Appreciation Committee held a spring picnic theme luncheon with fried chicken, waffles and various sides/salads on Monday, April 11th.
–PTO Presented Tyler’s Light, a presentation for the 8th grade class.
–Talent Show, PTO JMS Events Chair assisted with JMS staff was held Friday, April 8th. The students who performed did an amazing job! The staff and Principal Fine performed a fantastic show opener – dancing to “Watch Me” – aka Whip/Nae Nae – hilariously good!
–HOOPS for a Cure coordinated by PTO JMS Events Chair and JMS Staff, to be held April 29th at UAHS from 7-9pm. This is a wonderful event for all Jones and Hastings students and staff! Volunteers are needed. To sign up, click on Volunteer Sign Up for Hoops for a Cure.
