Landscape/School Beautification Committee
Parents have noticed that the landscaping in front of the school needs some TLC. Are you a green thumb and enjoy working in the dirt? We’ve created a Facebook group at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1734132526890069/?source_id=597446280300576 that like-minded parents can coordinate efforts. In the past, PTO has helped coordinate these efforts with the school administration, but nothing has been formalized recently. We would like to restart this effort and determine how we can get volunteers and donations to keep Wickliffe beautiful all-year-round.
Wickliffe Wellness – Lunch Initiatives
We are trying two new ideas related to lunch! Our goal is to slow down time spent eating and reduce the length of the lunch line. If we can get enough volunteers to support these initiatives, we can get them started and help improve the quality of our lunch periods at Wickliffe. A better lunch means a better learning environment for all!

OUTDOOR DINING: Provides an opportunity for 5th graders to eat outside in the library courtyard weather permitting.
- Outdoor dining will be available each day it is nice enough to go outside beginning October 9th as often as we have volunteers to supervise.
- We need one (1) volunteer daily to make sure the 5th graders are using the space appropriately, cleaning up after themselves, throwing things away properly and basically being good “diners”.
- The shift would be from 11:30-12:05. The office will make an announcement on the days volunteers are present.
- Volunteers should sign in at the office and head to the library courtyard.

PRE-ORDERING MEALS PILOT: Gives families the ability to pre-order meals to help limit the length of the line.
- Pre-ordering will be for Tuesdays and Fridays with service beginning Tuesday, October 17th.
- We need one (1) volunteer each Tuesday and Friday to hand out the pre-ordered lunches and make sure the right children are picking up the right order.
- A list will be provided to the volunteers from the kitchen staff. The shift would be from 11:00-12:05.
- Volunteers should check-in with Teresa Morley in the office when you arrive for your shift.
